Terms of Service

Effective October 7, 2026 · Version 2026-10-15

These Terms govern use of BuilderDo’s project intake, matching, account, business profile and introduction services. Girder AI, a Delaware company, operates this platform under the BuilderDo brand. “BuilderDo,” “we” and “us” mean Girder AI. Contact us at info@BuilderDo.com. When you expressly accept these Terms to submit a project or business profile, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains our handling of personal information.

1. Eligibility and account security

You must be at least 18 and authorized to act for the property owner or business you represent. Provide accurate information and keep your account, passwords and private project links secure. Tell us promptly about unauthorized access. A person with a valid private project link may be able to view or update that project. Do not share someone else’s information without appropriate authority.

2. Our role and the contractor’s role

BuilderDo provides a platform for describing projects, finding potential service professionals and requesting introductions. A submission, match, message or requested callback does not create a construction contract, book an appointment or guarantee a response. Professionals supply their own services and are responsible for their work, personnel, pricing and legal obligations. Use of the platform alone does not make a professional our employee, agent or partner, or authorize them to bind BuilderDo.

Agree directly with the professional on a written scope, site conditions, price, payment schedule, warranties, permits and change orders before work starts. Verify current licensing, insurance and qualifications for your particular job. You retain all rights against a professional under your agreement and applicable law. Any construction services separately contracted with the platform operator or an affiliated business require a separate agreement; these Terms do not replace that agreement or excuse its obligations.

3. AI analysis and estimate information

AI may analyze descriptions, photos and follow-up answers, suggest trades, ask questions and assist with matching. Its output can be incomplete or wrong. Photos may omit concealed conditions, measurements and hazards. AI output is not a professional inspection, diagnosis, engineering opinion, code determination or binding estimate. Do not rely on it for structural, electrical, gas or other safety-critical decisions. A professional may need a site visit before giving an accurate quote.

Check the information and correct errors. Approximate costs or pricing information are informational unless expressly included in a separate binding agreement with the responsible professional. We do not guarantee a price, savings, project outcome or that every relevant professional will be found.

4. Matches, listings and verification

Matches may consider service relevance, location, reviews, availability and platform information. Listings may come from third-party business sources or participating professionals; a listing alone does not mean that business has joined BuilderDo or agreed to take your project. Availability can change after confirmation.

A verification badge describes the specific information reviewed and any displayed date or scope. It is not a guarantee of future license status, insurance coverage, skill, safety or work quality. Background screening, if shown, applies only to the identified person and reviewed scope, not automatically to employees or subcontractors. Absence of a badge means the corresponding verification is not displayed. Report inaccurate credentials or listings to us.

5. Contractor responsibilities

Professionals must accurately describe their business, services, license and insurance status, maintain legally required qualifications and permits, and promptly report material changes. They are responsible for site assessment, estimates, contracts, workplace safety, taxes, workers, subcontractors and services they perform. Do not use a badge beyond its actual scope or represent BuilderDo as guaranteeing your work.

Use homeowner information only for the requested project and authorized communications. Do not sell it, publish it, add it to unrelated marketing lists or transfer it to others without an appropriate legal basis. Respect communication preferences and applicable privacy and communications laws. Participation does not guarantee leads, jobs, exclusive territories, revenue or ranking.

6. Content and reviews

You keep ownership of your uploads and reviews. You grant BuilderDo a nonexclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, process and display that content as needed to provide the requested service, including through service providers. This is not a transfer of ownership. Private homeowner projects are not authorized for public advertising merely by submission; separate permission is required. Approved business profiles and portfolio content are intended for public display.

Only provide content you have authority to share. Do not upload unnecessary sensitive records, access codes, unlawful material or misleading credentials. Reviews must reflect genuine experiences. Team-entered feedback and third-party reviews may have different sources; a review is not a guarantee. We may moderate fraud, harassment, unrelated content and exposed private information, but these Terms do not prohibit honest negative reviews or impose a penalty for them.

7. Communications

By submitting a project, you authorize communications reasonably needed to handle it, including AI follow-up questions and introduction updates. Automated texts are optional and require the applicable opt-in; message frequency varies and message/data rates may apply. Reply STOP when text delivery is enabled, or email us for help or to change preferences. Text consent is not required to submit a project. Messages may be delayed or fail. A contractor’s separate communications and your permissions to that contractor are distinct from BuilderDo’s messages.

Submitting a project does not authorize unrelated advertising, automated marketing calls or recording conversations. Those activities, if offered, require any applicable separate disclosures and permissions.

8. Prohibited use and service changes

Do not impersonate others, falsify reviews, interfere with security, access private records without authorization, send spam, or use the service for illegal or discriminatory conduct. We may investigate and restrict access or remove content for misuse, security issues or legal obligations, and provide notice where appropriate. You may stop using the service and contact us about closing your account. We may change or discontinue features; existing construction agreements remain between their parties.

9. Fees and third-party services

Any platform charge or subscription must be separately disclosed and accepted before it applies. Contractor charges are governed by your agreement with that contractor. Do not assume BuilderDo holds funds, provides escrow, guarantees refunds or insures a project. External services and links have their own terms. Google Places features are subject to the Google Maps / Google Earth Additional Terms where applicable.

10. Disclaimers and limits of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the platform and informational content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or noninfringement. We do not promise uninterrupted service, error-free AI, complete listings or the performance of independent professionals.

To the extent permitted by law, BuilderDo is not liable for indirect, consequential, special or punitive damages, or lost profits, arising from use of the platform. Subject to the exceptions below, BuilderDo’s total liability arising from the platform is limited to the greater of $100 or the platform fees you paid BuilderDo during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Contractor payments are not platform fees.

These exclusions and limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. They do not waive nonwaivable consumer or privacy rights or limit obligations under a separate construction agreement. If a restriction is unlawful in your circumstances, it applies only to the extent permitted.

11. Business claims arising from misuse

If you use BuilderDo for a business, to the extent permitted by law you will indemnify BuilderDo for third-party claims and reasonable costs to the extent caused by your unlawful conduct, infringement of another’s rights or material breach of these Terms. This does not cover BuilderDo’s own negligence, misconduct or legal violations. We will give prompt notice and reasonable cooperation; no settlement may impose an admission or nonmonetary obligation on another party without its consent. This provision does not impose an indemnity on homeowners acting as consumers.

12. Questions, complaints and disputes

Contact info@BuilderDo.com with a project reference and a description of the issue so we can try to resolve it. This informal process does not delay a filing deadline or prevent a court filing, urgent relief, a regulator complaint or a small-claims action. These Terms do not require binding arbitration or waive participation in a class action. Applicable law and a court with proper jurisdiction determine any dispute.

13. Changes and remaining terms

We will date material revisions and provide appropriate notice; renewed agreement will be requested where required. Changes do not retroactively remove accrued rights. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent lawful. Failure to enforce a provision once is not a permanent waiver. Mandatory legal protections take priority over these Terms.

Not an emergency service. For immediate danger, leave the area and contact emergency services or the appropriate utility. Do not wait for a BuilderDo response.
